Susan and Bill Broughton moved to Vermont a little over a year ago to live near Joshua and Alyssa Broughton and their children Zoe, Ezekiel, Eliza, and Mackenzie. Joshua is currently deployed as a chaplain with the Vermont National Guard. All are members of Middletown Springs Community Church and of the Rutland Classical Conversations homeschool community.
Joshua is the youngest of Bill and Susan’s four sons; the others and their families reside in New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Texas. Susan spent her childhood in upstate New York, where she met Bill, who grew up in Oklahoma and Ohio.
After their marriage, Susan worked in various positions as an RN, and Bill served as a pastor and teacher. Bill has MDiv and DMin degrees from Gordon-Conwell, where they were first introduced to the doctrines of grace. They enjoy reading together and spending time with their twelve grandchildren.
